About Twin Cities Heart Foundation
Our Mission
1) Evaluate the causes and management of cardiovascular disease. This includes continued evaluation and publication of the transcatheter treatment of valvular heart disease and the assessment and management of conduction abnormalities and their need for pacemaker placement.
2) Develop methods for raising patient awareness of the improvements in cardiovascular risk factor management, new diagnostic capabilities and new innovative treatments including novel device intervention.
3) Evaluate the various methods that lead to successful cardiovascular care innovation including device development. Assess the best methods for teaching this information to others, so advances can occur quicker but safer and at less cost
4) Investigate ways to make remote communications and monitoring of patients cost effective and practical. This includes evaluation of both traditional and novel uses of various audio, video and data acquisition systems for the monitoring of patients, real time communications and interventions. The goals will be to evaluate areas that not only improve survival but concentrate on improving the patient’s quality of life.
